I am a UK-based data and software consultant specialising in secure digital infrastructure for government and defence sectors. With a decade of experience delivering IT projects for the Ministry of Defence and Civil Service, I bring deep expertise in data-led transformation and secure-by-design principles.

As former data lead on a Digital Foundry project with digital.mod.uk, I have hands-on experience implementing secure solutions for sensitive government environments. My work emphasises sovereign IT capabilities, built on the principle that UK defence and security infrastructure should rely on domestically-controlled systems rather than foreign cloud dependencies.

My consultancy focuses on three core areas: secure data architecture for defence applications, open-source technologies (particularly Linux-based systems) to build resilient sovereign cloud services, and implementing secure-by-design methodologies across the project lifecycle. Having held SC clearance, I understand the critical importance of security vetting and controlled access in the defence sector.

I advocate for UK technological sovereignty as most commercial cloud services are built on open-source architectures that the UK build itself whilst maintaining interoperability.
